Black Performance as Social Protest
In partnership with 3 faculty members and the design team at the Center for Academic Innovation at the University of Michigan, BPSP was developed to answer the question: How does Black performance advocate for social justice and communicate Black artistry?
Learners utilize several tools that offer space for reflection about injustice, social inequality, and racial violence; opportunities to build an understanding of complex concepts; and a chance to display their responses to artistic prompts with poetry, images, or recorded audio.
I joined this project right before the course building phase began.
