Objective Zero Pathfinder Training
I began the Objective Zero (OZ) Pathfinder Training project as a contractor before transitioning into a full-time role with the company that contracted me.
This self-paced, 2.5-hour training is a part of OZ's curriculum to prepare their volunteers toproviding support through the Objective Zero App. This course introduces volunteers to helpful skills and scenarios when connecting with community members through text, voice, and video chat and includes information about active listening, empathy, and motivational interviewing.
In the video, I showcase the features of a custom role-play scenario simulation I built. The training program prepares learners for real-world engagements and includes text conversations, phone calls, and video calls, with opportunities for reflection. Accessibility features such as transcripts and screen reader compatibility were also incorporated.
